The staff is inpesaonable, scolds adults humiliating them in front of others, and the rules to access to documention changes depending on who's working/ do you need something other then your ID and being a regular for 10 years to prove your a resident, or do you have access to this in the system???

The Fernandina Beach Recreation center is where I vote; more than that is is where one of several town employees will notarize your papers at no charge. It has a large recreation room where many events are held-- notices are always on the outside sign as you drive by. There is a very large parting lot -- no problems with a place for your vehicle.
I've taken aerial silks classes here and love them. My kids have taken swim and we have all gone to several events here. Clean place and friendly staff.
There are several pools -- one is heated for year round water aerobics. There is a separate building with gym equipment (fee). But best of all there is a very creative play area for small children.
I take care of a young man who enjoyed the pool today. I can see the city if Fernandina Beach cares a lot about this facility. It is always very nice to be there.
I suggest if you need to address an adult due to safety, go over to them and tell them, don't yell at them across the pool, this can cause problems. (usually it's something you don't even realize your doing.
From calling them the fees depend on whether you are within the town limits. My understanding is that people on food stamps or Medicaid do not pay. This would have to be verified with a call.
