I absolutely love this place. This has been my go-to beach for my R&R.. the park itself of gorgeous. There is so much wildlife, you are sure to spot a few deer, squirrels, even alligators.
The fort is a nice place to visit and be sure to go on the day of the month that they have their reenactment. It is really neat and they even have a store where you can buy real old fashioned licorice.
Beautiful "ole" Florida large park. Fort Clinch is very interesting, build around 1864. Beautiful beaches, river view. Lots of trails. Beautiful shaded parks for the kids. Beach campsites with showers , river campsites, with showers. I plan on going back and enjoying the park. There are 30amp and 50 amp hook ups. Check out the Fort Clinch State Park in Florida.
Great state park to visit. The fort is beautiful and very interesting to tour. On first of month weekends they do historical reenactments. Will have to go back for that. Looks to be very bicycle friendly. Nice campgrounds, one wooded and one on beach. The beach one has no shade. Beautiful beaches accessible from either campground. A few nice walking trails.
My family and I love visiting this regional historic attraction from Jacksonville. They have an awesome playground area with picnic tables. The fort has a museum and is situated right on the water/beach. Most rooms in the fort are accessible to the public. There are also lots of hiking and biking trails. They also have a camp site for those who enjoy spending the night outdoors.
Great place for a family bike ride and history lesson! We enjoyed a safe and easy trek to Fort Clinch with our 7 and 9 year olds. The fort was very neat to see, and the staged rooms and building brought history to life. We also enjoyed watching the video in the museum to learn more about the fort.
